Perch Minnows around a full moon

Hey guys,
I was going to head up to the lake at the end of the month and and I know that will be within a few days of the full moon. Will there still be minnows at the bait stores? I remember my dad telling me that there were a few times he went up around a full moon and the bait shops told him they can't get the minnows under a full moon. So I was wondering how close to a full moon does this happen? I'm heading up on June 30th - July 1st and the full moon isn't until July 3rd. We are staying in Marblehead.

if local bait shops are out of shiners try Erie SHore bait in Sandusky. 419 621 5700. they have spot fin shiners which worked as good or better then the emeralds and almost impossible to kill. They are farm raised so no worries about the moon. I'd use them all the time if I could.

no. it may be illegal to transport across state lines? i'm not really sure but I do know the spotfins are legal or they would not be selling them. they are farm raised near Bellevue, Ohio. I believe golden shiners are farm raised as well. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

HiWay bait may be carrying them soon.
