After getting a Living saving Heart Transplant 17 years ago when the time to retire came 9 years ago I finally got to do some thing I always wanted to do ???? Fish April thru late October. That is when Eye-Keeper Charters was born.
- Zip Code:
I have been in the same Marina in west harbor for 35 years. I have seen Lake Erie change 2 times now. While growing up I saw a basicly dead body of water But there where still walleyes being caught back in the mid to late 60's Places like Gull Is shoal and KI Shoal and Even Ruggles beach.
Then the Boom came. WOW Was fishing great thru the 80's. 10 fish limit was nothing.
Then came the mussels and things have changed again. But the walleye fishing is still one of the best any where in the world.
Being a old timer (61) I still love to cast & drift for those walleye's. Nothing like it. When you feel that tick or the line getting heavy it is time to Set That Hook. You will never fell that trolling folks!!!!!
Hopefully I will still be here to see the next big change in Lake Erie fishing ? Plenty of smaller eye's should make the next few years very good fishing.
