Went out of mazurik sat at 3pm had our 3 man limit and back to the dock by 730.

Went out this morning and had our 3 man limit by 930am. Both days we ran 2-3 miles east of Kelly's. TT40 with spoons 30-60 back. Bandits 120 back. Mainly fished 40ft of water. The walleye today was puking up tons of small minnows.

AH2 where the bait marks are heaviest, is where the trash is the worst. We fished between 3 different packs without ever getting near any ang got 47 all over 18" with 5 over 4#, biggest was 30". That's with 4 reefs 90-120' back, 4 Bandits 95' back and 6 Dipsys size 1 with ring, #1 30-45, #2 37- 55, #3 44- 75. Both size spoons and 1 stick bait. Colors were varied but mixed veggies type colors worked best. 8 on the boat and we ran 14 lines fished from 8:30 to 2:45. Was a family trip and we wanted a 6 hr or so outing.

If you are running any deep crank that far back careful tuning is a must.

There also was a small yellow buoy about 1/2 mile off the SE corner of Kelly's last Tuesday. May have been some type of science buoy. I was surprised to see it and could have easily hit it as I was not expecting a buoy in that area,.

We came close to them Saturday. Funny thing was we were having a little dry spell. Accidentally got close to them and 4 of the 8 rods went off. I know this is late, but we had 2 of the 0 dipseys set at 100 on a 0 behind the boat and those were hot all day. Tt40 at 58-85 didn't produce as well. Had 1 dozen worms. Caught 10 fish on harnesses. 0 on spoons. When we ran out went to spoons and it took a lot longer. Usually put 1 harness out and the spoons out produce it , so I just use spoons. Not the case Saturday. Also caught 1 fish on a little ripper behind a big dipsy #2 @73.

fish hogg where have you been
Dave,
We haven't been around as much this year. Jackies Dad is not well, so she has been down their a lot this year. New job is taking some getting use to. Also,I have been fighting a couple of health issues, nothing serious, just painful to be on my feet very long. Things are improving so hope to be back out in full stride this fall. So leave a few for me to catch! Be safe out there!

View attachment 316473 My son and I took two of his buddies out for their first time on Erie Sunday. They had a ball, obviously. We were in the same area, east of Kelley’s. It was a bumpy ride back in but well worth the effort and sore back! All spoons behind Dipsy. It took us about 3.5 hours to limit running four rods.
Nice catch!! We are going up tomorrow morning to fish that area. I was told about a mile NE of the dump is doing well. Were you that far east of Kelley's? Thanks!!!
