I know that a bad algae bloom has started....

 

Does that algae bloom hurt the fishing.

 

I see boats!!!!

Slow day so far. 1 crappie and 1 16 inch walleye

,ITS HOT, they hide in the weeds , and feed in the night. but enjoy the trip. explorer the lake and look for humps you didn,t no about.

Hey KB, did you end up catching anymore today? Had to be a hot one out there! Was thinking of trying this weekend.

 

We caught 6 crappie 1 nice walleye and tons of dinky perch.

It was nice till noon then it got really hot

 

We were out today, fought through a ton of little perch, a couple nice slabs but 0 walleye, made the trip from Columbus to try our luck on some walleye but hoping for better luck tomorrow.....first trip up from Columbus so any help in locating these plentiful walleye would be great!

 

Try the weed lines along 8-10ft. With the heat...early morning or at night, especially the bridge at route 88. Think about it...there is only one way for fish to get from the north end to the south end is by way of the bridge at Rt.88. Its a virtual highway!

 

Is causeway marina the best place to launch on the lake?

 

We use the causeway launch 90% of our trips to Mosquito because we mainly fish that end of the lake. There are only 2 ramps there so it can get a little backed up on a busy day.

 

State park launch is good for the south end. Causeway puts you more mid lake. It is a huge lake north to south
