Exactly right! Don't be afraid to fish high in the water column. Top 5 ft often has great numbers of big fish.

As for the big fish don't taste as good. If its legal, which it is, keep your limit of what ever size you want. I personally get grossed out when I get Walleye jizz all over the boat. Something about handling another males, man juice thing.

Just like in humans when they have babies after a certain age there is always the chance that they are not the sharpest hooks in the tackle box. That would explain why some people we know are still able to catch fish..LMFAO
