My wife and I, Spot the wonder dog and two friends went out saturday, since we had'nt been out for over a month We were ready for some walleye action.

started setting lines at 8:30am, as soon as I got the first rod out it was fish on before I could get the board on. this continued for about an hour before we finally got 6 rods out, by then we had 8 fish in the boat.

harnesses with blue colorado's 3 oz 75 back took 18 fish, 3 on dipsies 80 back on a 3 setting no board. the bite slowed late morning and by late afternoon we were in need of 3 more fish, we got 1 more on a reef runner and we heard someone on the radio saying they were catching on spoons behind dipsie's at 90 back on a 3 setting

Well, we had never caught walleye on spoons yet but I have a small selection so we put out 2 dipsies with small stinger spoons on them and got our last 2 fish on a purple silver spoon.

We had a long day on the lake as we pulled our last fish at 5:30 pm but no one would quit till we got our 4 man limit. I was proud of everyone for sticking it out!

We had several doubles during the day.
most fish were between 17 and 24 inches but 3 were 26 and one 28 inches and just under 8 pounds.

It was a nice day on the lake and alot of people were sharing info on the radio. and we learned a few things too!
Good luck to all !

We went to lorain, Caught a 3 man limit. It was fast and furious in the morning. We heard alot of people out buy the weather bouy catching fish. Per the radio they had 3 and 4 fish. Sounded good. But we went our way. Ended with 18 nice walleye. while evey one stopped catching, we were reeling,,a nd reeling. had doubles, and 1 triple on at the same time.
After we had are limit, We went for perch. There is nothig better then watching my 3 year old catch a perch, And i ask him who caught it, He would say I DID!
Wow, that is sweet! My boy ended up showing the rest of us how its done when it came to perch. Biggest walleye 8#, Smallest 3#.:p

My two sons and I were out in that same area Saturday. We started at the 33 line at the NW corner of the shallowest portion of the sandbar. Quite a few boats right in that area. When it seemed that the bite had slowed down a bit and we had just six in the boat, we moved north to the 38 line, 38/23. We picked up another eye immediately after putting lines out and then that bite died as the wind died. It was quite odd... the lake was flat 12 miles out, no longer any breeze, and my oldest son was miserable with the humidity and lack of breeze. The morning had been so pleasant. We opted to quit and go back in right around 1:45 EDT rather than continue in the heat and abundant white bass nuisance bite. As we got within a couple miles of the Vermilion breakwall, there were waves where there had been none 12 miles out and it seemed there was a breeze too however, neither son wanted to set up lines closer in to see if we could pick up a few more. Oh well....

As I said, the morning was pleasant. Our largest eye was an even 8#. We had done better on Friday, two short of a three man limit. We quit at 4:30 that day. All walleyes caught on harnesses behind 2 ounce inlines at about 40 back. We caught fish on gold and silver size 6 Indiana blades with either purple or red beads and some also on a #4 purple Colorado with purple beads. The other good producer was a #5 Indiana chartreuse tiger (holographic Cabela's) blade with chartreuse beads. Our speed was pretty consistent both days, 1.3 to 1.6 SOG.
