Not sure how far east you want to go but I have gotten emeralds at Surf Motel in Marblehead the past few weeks. They had limited numbers and the first time I got them I got the last four scoops.

OK ILL refraise that, Happy Hooker said everyone was out, directed me to Butch and Dennys 13 miles away---Went to turtle creek marina on the way she said they dont sell em, however she made 2 calls for me and says A and Js has them, very nice of her I must say. Bait Barn was closed A and Js heck of alot closer and yes he did have them, I was told they catch there own and almost always has them. Very special thanx to the Lady at Turtle Creek, and A and Js for being prepared. Hot perch bite 2 miles NW of West Sister Island good luck.

Happy Hookers were out. But if you want to take the drive or live close buy like I do Maumee Tackle has them.
when did they start stocking shiners ,Gary told me he only buys fat heads ,because shiners are to hard to keep alive ,,and Janis counts them out not by the scoop ,,things must have changed in the last couple weeks,I will walk down and get some today,,since I will be down the street a couple days

I wasn' being specific on any species. It doesn't matter to me what they are most the time they get cut in half. I call them all minnows, sorry for the confusion
