Was out Friday- surface temps were 50-52 degrees. Fishing was slow and not much was caught. Fished deep, shallow , weeds and rocks but produced very little .

Was there today. Fished the 44 side for two hours. 5 bass all on wood. Square bill and jigs. Water temp 57.5 and stained.

Any size to the 5 you caught?

 

Went there on Saturday and between two of us we only caught three, but one was over 5 lbs. all caught south of the 44 bridge.

While taking my boat down for repairs on Saturday, the lot was full!

They guy who owns the bait store just north of LaDue can probably give you good fishing reports.

Went yesterday working on the crappie they are hitting good got a handful of good keepers a good amount of throw backs to

 

Planning on heading out Wednesday!
Crappie still deep, or moving shallow?
Was planning on starting at creek channels at bay mouths.

Try the river back on the south end if you go there friends of mine go to the dam and clean up haven't done it yet might try today

 

Ugh, close to a skunk Wednesday!
Tried some deeper water at the mouths of the coves,didn't mark much. Bait shop said the crappie had gone shallow, but all we could find was wallowing carp.
After we performed a C&R on our anchor, we marked some fish on structure in 12-15 ft of water, but had no way to hold on it.
Still good to be out in the sun!!
Musclebeach - was that you in the little on boat with two motors on it?
Lotsa guys fishing shoreline brush, didn't see much being caught though.

 

No i know who that was me and my brother where there working that tree before they got to it nothing there we tooled around for a little with nothing to show went under the bridge after dark and started into em picked a few keeps off then wind changed and it was over

 

Went out today,5-2-13.Crappie were around brush but had to use a small spinner to get them to hit.Only white seemed to work.Also caught a few nice "eye's" on small crankbaits around the islands.Sorry no pics,camera is broken.

 

Arrg! We were trolling some cranks, but got nothing.
Gonna have to try it all over again then!

Between a buddy and I, we caught 57 crappie in under an hour all from the same brush pile. 21 were keepers between 10-12in. Minnow 16in down from a bobber in 2-3ft water. Looking to go tomorrow afternoon if anyone interested. Got room on the boat for someone...

Guess if I'm going to live in Solon I have to learn this lake. Can it be fished effectively for crappies with waders or do I need to bring the yak to the apartment?

Unfortunately, because it is part of akrons drinking water, you are not allowed to wade or swim in the lake.

 

You calling it huh? I am planning on packin it up tomorrow. Can't tomorrow but save me a seat soon.

Hopefully this works. The Pike was caught last night.

 

Nice pike! I've fished this lake for literally 1/3 of my life and have never caught a pike. What did you catch him on?
