Took a friend and his son out this morning, I always launch from down river, it less traffic, not the case today, I’ve never seen boats backed up to the railroad bridge and they all seemed to fish around me today, we stopped at the 04 line straight north of the harbor and never left the area, about 10 throw backs and a nice 3 man limit of 16-22” in about 2 hours. It is literally amazing fishing out of Ashtabula right now. Again we fished dipsys deep, #1 setting 90-100 back, #2 setting 120-150 back and #3 setting 170-202 back. UV silver watermelon on the green UV dipsy was the clear winner today and to my surprise gold double orange crush pulled steady all morning, all stinger spoons and UV NASCAR on a tru-trip 50 back 200’ pulled 4 of the keepers, it has been silent last few trips, today it worked. 3mph again and MY GOD MAN… the bugs were horrible.. absolutely the worst I’ve see all year.

Might want to try out of Geneva, I have not been there on the weekends, but they have multiple ramps and the traffic usually moves along pretty good. I had a report from a guy on Tuesday this week that they did good the same 8 miles out from there as I did from Bula.

All I'm allowed to say,,,,,
Friends from camp went out 4 times in the last 6 (windy/ stormy days) & got limits.
They were about 8 mi out to start,,, 4'-5'ers,, DRIFTING 1.3mph. (that's crazy!)
They were using 3oz bottom bouncers on, line-counter reels. Hitting them in the face With 3/8 oz Deeries & 2" of worm.
They Didn't have to 'jig' them,,, boat was really rocking!
About 3 hrs per trip.
many fish over 6#,, plus some 7-9#ers.
Old farts,,, wish they knew how to take pictures!
I like 2' or less. ;>)

Better newer motor & outdrive already in. Just needs all the crap on the inner transom bolted back on. She's Just Sit'n out back waiting,,,, maybe for the G-kids,, or someone (younger) who knows how to turn a wrench???

Nope, not on that one,,, that hole is already filled,,, everything, just needs hooked up.
It's got a Huge, deep self-draining deck, doesn't really need any "more room"!
