it seems like fishing is slow EVERYWHERE. the maumee river is flooded, i went to willard, swanton and wauseon reservoirs and got skunked along with other people there, went to lake erie twice and only made out with a few perch combined, findlay seems to be dead, whats up with this? this is depressing. I cant wait to go back home to texas for a month so i can do some salt water fishing where the reports are always good!!

I've had mixed results. Hit a marina two times over the last week or so. Between my and my friend we landed at least 50 crappies and 60 bass, with a channel, a sheepie, a couple shad, and a big a$$ turtle in the mix. 1/16 oz jigs with white twisters was the ticket.

Hit a lake in the Irish hills 2 weekends ago. Fishing was slow with 1 smallie, 3 largies, and 9 rock bass caught between 4 people. Tube fishing.

I hit the Detroit River on Sunday and caught 9 white bass (all big) between two of us over 5 hours. Wasn't targeting them though. I was huntin for smallies and we didn't land a single one. Tubes, cranks, jigs, spinners. Nothing worked.

Weather pattern has pushed the bass, crappie, and bluegill spawn back in quite a few places. Should be picking up this week.

I agree fishing has been slow, hopefully it will pick up soon. I've been fishing the Metamora Res and another pond. Ive only been able to catch one fish the last few times I've been out. At Metamora the blue gill and the newly spawned bass and just hanging out all around the edges, I saw lots of nice sized bass in there just hanging out not going after any of the smaller fish or my lures as I was literally sticking them in their faces trying to anger them into hitting my lure.

yup fishing is pretty much dead this yr. I went on two charter fishing trips this week and didnt catch a single thing. out of the 13 people on board, all that was caught were 6 dink perch. The captains were saying the same thing that nobody is doing anything worthwhile unless you want to spend 16 hrs on the lake trying. Im also done trying to get people to go fishing with me. I've called, texted and emailed various people but they either dont respond or they have other things to do but i'll see them logged into their xbox for 8 hrs. What ever happened to honesty? Im a firm believer in when you say your going to do something, you do it! otherwise your word isnt worth anything and i dont want anything to do with you! If i say im going to do something, i'll do it regardless if plans change on me or not. Man do i miss salt water fishing. 1 more month and i can do some real fishing! this whole not catching any fish business is making me very cranky!

Me and a buddy took my bassboat out wed to kellys and the bass islands and ended up with 8 smallies each one over 4lbs and 4 over 3 lbs plus too many sheaphead to even count. Its the first time I've ever fished erie. Was always kinda hesitant about taking a 17 ft. bass boat out there but I think I'll be going back
