Finally upgraded from the Perception Hook Angler 10.5 Sit In to the Pescador Pro 10 Sit On Top. So many handy dandy tracks and compartments. The chair is night and day on your back and getting out of the kayak. Just need to get a couple track mount rod holders and a fish finder.

I will have to say I felt a bit more wobbly on the sit on top vs the sit in, but I am sure I will get over it. Any tips or advice on set-up or handling?

Very cool! I already had a couple drop in Scotty rod holders. So, Field and stream had the track fitting for like $17. So, I picked up one of those. I haven't run an anchor trolley yet, but I should. Though, I really don't anchor much. It has cool cut out protected area for a fish finder transducer. I haven't put one on mine. I may or may not do that in the future. If I buy a boat for lakes, then I'll only use my yak on flowing water and won't need a fish finder.

the cannon ratcheting holders with tracks is all you will ever need. the go down with one hand then just grab the rod and lift and the holder ratchets to the upright position then just lift the rod up out of the holder. the single axis is all you need. about 80.00 each at amazon then the track.

Here is my first opinion. Took it out Monday evening. Let's start here...I am 5'11", 250lbs.

The first thing I noticed is that a lot of water comes in the scupper holes without the plugs. Wasn't so bad after I put the plugs in. The next thing I noticed was that it was a lot more wobbly than the Sit In kayak that I was used to. I got over that after getting use to sitting so much higher. It did track well, just about the same as the Perception Hook Angler 10.5 sit in. The rod holes behind the seat are worthless because they are too open and not deep enough. I would never put my rods in there. Lastly, the 220cm paddle that I used in the sit in is not long enough for the Pescador Pro. I am going to have to get a 240-250cm paddle I think.

I did not have rod holders or a fish finder installed yet on my madden voyage, both of those will be a very nice addition.

I have a Perception Striker 11.5, and its built-in rod holders kind of suck too. I've seen where people have glued pipe insulation into the rod holder, and then glued a plastic cylinder (like a piece of a golf club holder) into that. A cut-up can coozy might work as well.
