Avon or farther east off of Rocky River. Rocky River has the 2nd largest number of stocked steelhead, slightly less than the Chagrin.

 

from huron to avon i would hit vermilion...ive done real good there in the past trolling for steel...look for the seagulls dive bombing the water...usually in closer inside 20 feet of water
keep your lures up high dipsey on 3 setting out just 30 feet was a good starting point for me

 

Wow! Get strike 30’ out. That would wake you up pretty quick! We will give a shot. Looking at shoreline angle with east wind forecast will probably launch Lorain and walleye fish toward Vermillion. Or maybe launch Vermillion. Try to avoid worst waves. Thanks

 

yea ive actually had one hit just as i was putting it out. came out of the water, landed on my gunwale and flopped back in the water...father in law was laughin so hard he couldnt get the net around it...have to say i havent been out that way in a few years but used to go regularly in the past..

 

Some have been using the smaller dipsy's - more line out with them and less drag when one hits. I've had them jump out of the water and the #1 dipsy seemed to work to the fish's advantage!

 

Ok. Will keep that in mind I have some 0 Dipseys, 2 mini discs, and 2 offshore mini boards that work well for getting easy pulling lures away from the boat. Looks like spoons or shallow diving cranks in orange,blue or silver variations are best. Advise other choices. Thanks
