Can anyone tell me how to mount a transducer on a Minn Kota power drive trolling motor? I can't see how to do it because the shaft slides up and down in the drive unit to raise or lower the motor.

What I did was mount the transducer to the motor, then took a zip tie and secured the cable just above the housing and below the collar. route the cable up through the handle and then secure the cable with another zip tie or electrical tap just below the top of the motor where the shaft goes into the top of the motor. you need to leave enough slack so the motor can rotate 360 degrees. the cable just hangs loose the entire lenght between the 2 points. you have to secure it below the collar so it will latch when you stow it. i also routed the cable through the curly q cable to keep it out of the way.
