I have only been to this lake twice, about 15 years ago. Just looking for some advice for fishing the causeway from shore this time of year. What's biting and strategies for catching it......

Fish the causeway on the southside. Fish east of the bridge opening about 50 to 75 yards from the opening. There is a bunch of large square concrete pieces there. The chanel comes in close there and it is 12+ feet out as far as you can throw. Try slip bobbers with small gold jig heads or small tube jigs and minnows or maggots for crappie. You need to fish 5 to 8 feet deep to start then work shallower if you don't get anything. There are also christmas trees that the state put in a few years back there.
