Yea it has been in about every issue of the dispatch I have picked up to read.

They should just keep a simple list of the lakes and ponds that are closed due to it.

And I believe it was Heron pond that they closed. Have not heard anything about the other one yet.

Not to sound crass, but it would be interesting to see if the algae is indeed a factor at one of these little park ponds. Alot of them are cut off from any agricultural runoff and that seems to be the agreed upon root of the problems with other lakes.
I don't know anything about the Three Creeks ponds and the surrounding terrain, but I'd think at a minimum it would be easier to identify the point source of the problem in a smaller park pond like that.

Your dead on.. You don't see much of it any housing development ponds (that I am aware of). We used to have a pond growing up surrounded by farm fields and we never had a problem with it either. It's easy to blame farmers for things like this but that may just be another cover up or cop out.

I would realy be intrested to know if first someone is testing the ponds in those devepments. Second if the high temp. for air and water this summer is haveing an effect. Buckeye lake hit 90 degrees and when I was on the Ohio river the other day the surface temp. was 88 .
