Switching gears, top lures/baits?

OK gentlemen, looking to move from primarily cats to "other". I'm finding as I get older and have less free time, the "cast and wait" method has become less attractive. Plus I hooked my first lunker (off a green gizzard square bill) last fall and was hooked (pun intended). So my question is if you could only have 5 lures/baits in your tackle box (for all occasions), what would they be?

Can always throw them on a road runner spinner jig and/or cut a hole and insert a small rattle to mix it up a bit too.

I'd say smoked shad joshy (slims bait close second), green pumpkin senko, mepps rooster tail in black and silver, suspending jerk bait (lucky craft is new favorite, in aurora black), and a rebel popper for my multi-species top 5. Just out of the top five would be a bleeding booyah (maybe ranked higher if just for largemouth).

Oy Vey! Too many good lures to choose from.

In no particular order:
1. Some type of plastic worm for Texas/Carolina Rigs and Wacky Rigs. (Zoom Trick Worms and/or BPS Stick-Os)
2. Strike King Red Eye Shad (lipless crank)
3. Strike King Square Billed Crank
4. Double Bladed Safety Pin Spinnerbait (great for searching, and covering area and the entire water column very quickly. You can also put a trailer on it)
5. Pig and Jig (Bass Jig and trailer, can use a grub or craw or just about anything. Bitsy Flips are good, tons of other good ones out there too)

Best of the Rest:
Hollow or solid body frogs
Buzzbaits (I love these)
Jerkbaits (not just for saugthings)
Old School Rapala Floating Minnow
Rooster Tails
Pencil Topwaters (KVD Sexy Dawgs)
Prop Baits (topwater minnow with propeller spinners on front and/or rear)
Plastics Plastics Plastics (craws, grubs, swimbaits, the list goes on, multiple ways to rig them)
Old School Leadhead Jigs.... and the list goes on and on and on....

LOL!

First I would like to thank everyone for the advice/suggestions. However, "top 5" turned into close to 30 different baits and lures. Figure fishing is like BBQ, everyone does it a little different because that's how it tastes the best to them, haha. I did tally everything though (not a math teacher by chance) and here are the tops in no particular order...

Square Bill Cranks
Swim Baits (Big Joshy overwhelming favorite)
Worms (Finesse, Senko, etc)
Tubes
Spinner /Buzz Baits

Honorable mention...Poppers, Frogs, Lipless Cranks

As I said, there were MANY others, and thanks again!

I'm originally from Lancaster, but live up in Canton area now. Any of you ever venture my way, don't be shy!

Pulse blades made in Ohio Flat Line Lures and work really well do not seem to hang up as much on line when hopping them back or snapping them vertically. Staple colors chrome blue, chartreuse pearl called measles, gold orange, chartreuse orange. Will get fish with these colors . 3/16 and 1/4 pretty much sizes you need
