Figured today would be a nice day to do some exploring. Had the lake mostly to myself. No one else for a while then saw couple of others later. Highlight was seeing a bald eagle flying around and landing the ice.

Now that the snow has melted, a bunch of trash was visible on the ice. Picked up pop bottles, an energy drink bottle, wad of foil, couple of bait containers, several potato chip/snack bags, broken bungie cord, and the kicker, two plastic grocery bags with what appeared to be the remains of a couple of people taking a dump out on the ice then just leaving the bags behind. Saw one spot with three or four pop bottles frozen down in the ice. Someone apparently thought in was something fun to do before they left.

Appears that without the snow cover, algae is making a comeback with the extra light. Saw extensive clouds of stringy algae in the deeper water, below about 9' on down to the bottom. Also looked like an explosion of little white plankton everywhere.

Wingfoot is a little jewel!(NFL!) When Goodyear had it, there never was any trash left on shore or tossed into the lake because the employees were proud of the facility and glad to have such a nice park to use. Now that it's public, you're going to get the same "trash", leaving their trash,(and crap too apparently!) that trashed Mogadore!! What the hell are some people thinking. Their mommas are not there to pick up after them! I give it one full year and it becomes Mogadore II. Makes you sick!

Same thing at Tinkers Creek this morning. I picked up 3 propane tanks, bait containers, and empty cigerette packs. At Tinkers, you have to walk by 2 trash cans and a dumpster on your way out. I will never understand people, but these type of people are not only slobs on the ice, their vehicles and homes are probably in the same condition. Thats my rant for the day...I feel better!

It was nice talking to you today,
It was great seeing those Bald Eagles!
I just don't get these people who trash our lakes!
They'll take the fish out? But won't pick up their damn trash!!!!!
Come on people, How hard is it to carry a damn bag to put stuff in?
Ice looks good, As long as it doesn't rain it should hold? Hope to see
you out there again.

These slobs could not put their trash in a can 15ft. away because it is too hard, now most State Parks are carry in / carry out and have no cans around - OUR parks are in for some bad days with these slobs around - to bad they could not receive a ticket for littering maybe that would deter them the next time - then again probably not.

It just boggles my mind the condition people (they are not fishermen and I am being polite calling them people) leave our lakes and streams. This ice season, at least for me, has been one of the cleanest I have seen. Year after year we have these posts about the trash left around our lakes. We cannot clean it up as fast as they dump it. It frustrates me to no end to walk the shores of my favorite lakes and walk out with not only my trash but a bag full of others. Wingfoot is just getting broken in as a public lake and already news like this. Alright before this turns into a long winded rant I'll stop, I am sure all of you feel the same.
