Can anyone recommend a boat launch ramp near the Sandusky Bay railroad bridge?

DEMPSEY is going to be your best bet. I keep my boat at the family lake house off the a canal off of Sandusky bay. When i need to pull the boat or put it in Dempsy is the ramp of choice. its usually quiet and calmer then ramps closer to the lake. When wind is up the ramp can be rough though so be careful.

How small is your boat? 14 ft or less I would go to Clemons think they charge $10 and water is shallow around the ramp area. If your boat is say 15 or 16 ft 25 hp or more I would run from Dempsey or Sandusky city ramp for free. Cold creek also has a ramp but it is a small ramp and there is a under water rock pile that runs out about 200 yards on the left that eats lower units.

I have been launching at Clemons this year with my 16' Lund. It's shallow but I haven't had any issues. I saw them launch a 22' Cuddy there last time I was out. It was kicking up mud on its way out but it made it with no troubles. In my opinion it's worth the $10 launch fee to be right at the bridge instead of running from Dempsey's.

It's been years since I lived in Bay View, but there used to be a small boat launch off of the end of Fulton Street (Port Clinton Side) on the North West side of the bridge. The street dead ends into the bay. The problem could be finding a place to park your truck after you launch, though. The ramp is (was) free. Not much of a ramp for bigger boats bot OK for a 14 ft'er. If you have extra time it might be worth doing a scouting trip.

Hanks On The Bay would work great for you. If you take the 269 north exit and go right to Bay Shore Rd. At the stop sign go straight, you will then see a sign to go right.
They charge $5.00 to launch and the ramp is in between the Edison Bridge and the railroad bridge. Good fishing!
