Seeing as it's a pretty small lake, I can't imagine there being a really large population of crappie there, but I have seen a father/son fishing out in @20-25 fow in standing timber and catching a bunch of crappie with minnows, I've never tried to catch them, but the trees look promising...

 

where is the lake located?

 

Its located aroud Somerville which is south of Eaton. There are signs to get there off of US127. I have caught some but I have never really targeted them.

 

I have pulled a few good crappie from there, thinking about getting a bucket of minnows and trying it this weekend. There are several spots that show good fish in the deeper water. Lots of decent blue gil if you have crickets.
