Quantum Code Bait caster parts?

So, I've got a Quantum Code Bait caster that I've had for quite a few years... the levelwind is now sticking to one side, so I know I need a new worm gear and pawl... problem is, quantum doesn't make the reel anymore, and parts are "obsolete". I've searched eBay and Google and can't find anything. Anybody know where I may find them?

Almost guarantee you don't need a worm gear. Likely just a pawl. Try cutting out some plastic and sticking it under the pawl, that works quite a bit.

Have you tried Outdoor World rod & reel? I worked on reels and they always had the parts I was looking for.

I agree with Mas. Remove pawl cover and watch for a small spacer under the cap. Tap out the pawl and inspect for old line fragments or other debris. Clean the worm gear and put a drop of reel oil on each end and the length of the worm. Cut a spacer out of a plastic water bottle to fit the inside of the worm cover cap. Reinstall using the old spacer if used and the new spacer and check for binding.

Changing it is not a problem for me... I've done several this year alone. I asked for both pawl and worm gear because originally they were sold as a "kit"... but I agree, the gear shouldn't need changed. I don't have the numbers handy, but I'll get them when I get home. Even Googling "Quantum Code" makes it seem like it's some rare dinosaur bone I'm looking for...
(P.S. I'm going to try that plastic spacer idea... but it's pretty worn down.)

Just my experience with quantum is if the reel was made and marketed for Dicks sporting goods or another retail chain only Quantum usually doesn't stock any replacements for those reels . I have on the other hand had good experinces with customer service at Quantum being willing to meet me half way to replace a reel that parts weren't available for .

You may have found it! I haven't gotten any numbers off the reel yet... just haven't had time to deal with it. I knew it was originally sold as the "kit", just no idea if it could still be purchased. I'd imagine they used the same parts on more than just this particular model... so I had to believe it would be out there. Thanks a ton guys! I'll let you know!

Well.... the kit fit perfectly. Worm gear, Pawl and 2 small brass spacers... however, it didn't solve my problem. It appears the "carrage" (lack of a better term") is binding up on the worm gear housing. It looks like the hole that rides over the worm gear tube has worn itself bigger and there's just too much play causing it to bind....
So if anyone finds a link to both the tube and "carrage", I'd like to have those.

Just an update... I never replaced the worm gear tube or the line guide, but they did arrive... I fished with that reel for 5 days on mosquito prepping, and fishing the mosquito madness tournament last week, and it never missed a beat. I'm still going to replace those parts when time allows, but otherwise, the worm gear and pawl did the trick!
