Just got home from Nimi. Had about 1-1.5 of soft slush on top of probably 4” or more of ice. Went off C1 in about 10‘ of water off boat ramp, dropped camera down and saw a some larger sized shad. Moved to the point by the gas well, didn’t mark much. Moved a little closer to the point and was marking something, but when I dropped the camera down, didn’t see much going on. Water seemed a little murk compared to other times I was there. The slush was firming up quickly by the time I walked off around 5:15

 

Thanks for the response. I was able to get minnows at the Pipe Rack. Don't know how I fished Portage Lakes for 30 years and didn't know about this place. Great selection for the size of shop, reasonable prices, and super friendly people.
