This works well for me....but have one similar to yours with rod holders on the side of the cooler

 

I would have loved to have had your rig, when I lived in Florida.

 

It's handy down there ,a couple times a year....I learned years ago there is a definite plus to having wheels on the long walks out....evolved to the present ,went through a few variations,
can motorize it with a front wheel drive electric scooter....now the knees are better haven't needed that the past couple trip
