Looks to be mostly south winds today and tomorrow. Apparently some are not worried about that.

We always use Griffing out of Pt Clinton, have had nothing but great experiences with them. $50 one way.

 

Go for ar least 2 days its a blast and adventure round trip flights out of Catawba look up an ice guide book it and have fun

 

Might be a stupid question but …..are the quads , etc all local ? Or do these guys take the ferry over ? I am only familiar with the fact most fly to the island . Thanks

 

A lot of them are locals on the island but some people keep quads in storage over there just for ice season.

 

How's the bite out there?

 

Conditions ideal. Best ice in years. We’re out by Green but guys are spread out everywhere. We got fish yesterday and are going back to the same holes today. Warmup predicted for next weekend but we’re on 10-12” of good ice. Friends got a 12 yesterday. Stay in touch. Good luck

Somehow this just doesn't look like "80% ice covered to me.

 

Seven years ago, today. 

 

Does anyone have any idea if the ice should still be good shape for this weekend? Making my way from Charleston wv, Youngstown OH, native.

Also curious if anyone ever hits up the lagoon areas on the ice? i know there is a little bit of current that can push through but I wouldn't think it would cause unsafe conditions for ice. its shallow, but during Ice out, I typically see a good number of panfish in there but never been up there for hardwater season.
