I really like my ego s2 slider. you can order from there web site. they have some nets that aren't listed and you have to contact them to order. they have one that has a handle that's 29" long and with a push of a button you can extend it to 60". then get the net that's 23"x27".

I have the handle that extends from 48" to 108" and got the 23"x27" net. but you have to retract the handle before lifting a big walleye. but its easy to get use to retracting the handle. you just net your big walleye then push the button and push on the handle and it retracts. egos2slider.com.

I've had too many nets to count. bought an Ego retractable and broke it twice. Nice concept but they dont' hold up.

Bought the Beckman and havnt looked back. I have a walleye version and the big one for musky. Great nets.

I like the Beckman for heavy duty and tangle free. I do not like how it is round and has to be looked at it to be locked in when extending it.

I like the ranger for ease of use. Put a Beckman net hoop on it and an extension & it makes the perfect net

I run the beckmans... We bent one on a salmon in Lake Michigan last year. Customer service was awesome. Now for the bad news... They recently started overseas manufacturing, no more made in USA. Craig at Erie Outfitters might have some USA beckmans left. Btw it was a manufacturing defect on the bad net, they let me keep the knuckle, the basket, and sent me an entire hoop assembly.

For those who already have a good net, but would like a longer handle I have taken the pole from an old pool net. I cut off the net part and that fits perfectly over the handle of my net. Be sure to overlap a good 10 inches or so to give it some back bone. Lastly place a short sheet metal screw through one side.

I know it's kinda hill billy but hey it works.

Beckhmans are great, the rubberized nylon netting is awesome. I haven't upgraded yet and run a Ranger but a great tip is to use the new rubberized sprays on the market for patching leaks. I saw a net this was done to and I will be doing the same, hating the reef runner hooks as of late. Ugh!!

Good Fishing,

I agree! The extension on the Ranger self aligns. The bag on the Beckmann is bulletproof.

Take the handle out and use a straight edge to draw a line on the inner tube. You can then watch the line through the hole and keep it straight! If beckman does this on the new models, I want my royalties!
