i think its a question of how far out to the side you want them to run. i know of someone who runs flicker shads on what i beleive are the smaller ones and does very well. you might pm someone like ying6 i beleive he has experience with them also

 

Thanks Joshy. They would just be for inland lakes running maybe 25 to 30 foot out. No weight attached to the line just the lure.

 

i have 2 sets, they work great!! like josh said, the heavier pulling baits wont get as far out, thats why i run 2 on each side,small bottom bouncers/ harnesses on inside, cranks on outside...this has worked pretty well on saltfork, the depth and contour there is amazing...without the boards i wouldnt be able to keep baits in the zone very well...blade baits for suspended crappie fish very well with these also
