has anybody caught any smallmouth over by the rocky shoreline by the 44 bridge? all those rocks just kept tellin me that's smallie water, even largemouth bass water. i caught a northern pike about 15 inches on a all silver panther martin inline spinner.

I've fished those rocks alot and have never personally caught a Smallmouth. The 422 causeway and the Dam would be a better option for Smallmouth. The 44 causeway doesn't have that much "deep" water around it.
I've caught all mine on the Northside closer to the dam . I fish the rocks along 422 quite often and haven't got one over there yet either .

seen your into the ufc. I never really watch it but i grew up two doors down from Dan Bobish and still see him from time to time. We use to hang out together twenty years ago. I also roomed with Mark Coleman down at OSU. Crazy guys. Bobish is an angler. Crazy sight to see him with a fishing rod. It looks like a toothpick

I'm a South sider too, very seldom fish the North end. I've caught fish off the north side of the 422 causeway and the Dam, just seems like the South side has more solid "go to" areas for me. It's a long run down to the Dam and if there not biting down there, it's a long run back. As far as under the 44 Bridge, that's a good Spring time area, never fish back there too much during the warmer months, Auburn Rd a little further South is a pretty good area too, just get to it before they start to let the water out.

I drive by ladue on 44 everday and I always see a black chevy ZR2 already with his boat launched bye about 6:15.... happen to be anyone on here??

I would suggest getting your kids involved in some type of youth wrestling . This will teach them a lot of skills they will need .
Next time you see Bobish bring up fishing he loves to talk it. We use to do a lot of fishing together as kids and up till about 8 - 9 years ago when he got really into the ufc and pride
