wow, those are some dandy's!! congrats! You were right about being rough. We were over the line walleye fishing. got 12 but took 4 hours. Bumpy, lumpy ride out there!

 

Thanks Boatnut. We were headed out to the old C can area but decided to stop short. I'm glad we did. I did really well fishing this area last year. About 10 miles from W. Harbor.

 

Nice fish, thanks for the post. I will be in that area this Friday and will check that spot before I head anywhere else. Nice to see some bigger fish reports from there.

 

I too was out by the Shoal perch fishing sunday. It was by far the nicest size perch I have caught this year. Very few throw backs and kept nothing under 8 with a lot of 9-10in perch. The trip out and back was quite exciting fighting those rollers in a 18 foot boat but I am glad I made the trip.

 

Fished east of the outside can on the shoal, 42 FOW. We took four tickets in about 3 hours. Sizes ranged from dinks to jumbos. Probably threw back 25% to get good fish. Better than the c can run (in terms of fuel burn). Good luck and I hope this helps. Seems like a lot of people were struggling to finish out around 1pm.

 

What kinda bait..east of Kellys..shiners?Does anyone use spreader rigs anymore? Jes gettin back to fishin..thanks for the help.
