Kayak test-paddling

Does anyone know of any place in Northeast Ohio where I could test-paddle various kayak models? I'm specifically interested in the Wilderness Systems Commander. I've decided to sell one of my Hobie Outbacks (see marketplace if interested) and based on the research I've done, I'm pretty sure I want the Commander, but I've never gotten to try one out. Even if there was a place around that DIDN'T have that model, but had others available for demo, I may find something I like (as a second boat, still keeping one Hobie). How far would I have to drive (from the Akron area) for the opportunity to test-paddle? Thanks for any input you guys have.

Well, less than a NEW one I should think! Lol. I guess it depends on age and condition. I'd rather get just the kayak (with the factory seating and such) without a bunch of accessories... don't even really want the angler version. The only accessory I think I might be interested in would be a rudder. Why? You happen to have a spare one sitting around? If so, PM me & we'll talk. Although if you gotta have cash for it, I'd hafta wait 'til after I sell a Hobie... I've reached my spending limit for "toys" by buying another Camaro last weekend.

There ie a yak shop in Pennisula around the Virginia Kendall Park in the CVNP that might be able to help you.

Rybo is correct. The name of the shop in Boardman is outdoor recreation equipment. They are great guys and know their equipment. They usually have demo days every Friday evening at Berlin Resavoir but I heard they havent been doing them do to the low water. Last time I was in I dident see any comanders but they were expecting a new shipmemt of boats shortly.
