Anyone with a new jiffy auger having problems with it drilling? I have a few hundred holes on the blades but they are still razor sharp to the touch. Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues.
Thanks.

I have a strikemaster 4 stroke new 2 years ago and from day one it has its moments of not drilling...not sure if it gets ice built up or what but usually if you rock it back and forth a little bit or throttle down it seems to start digging in and drills perfect and quiet.....i know its not quite what you were probably looking for but maybe you could try what works for me
Yes, I have the single blade chipper, ice build up is a problem. When this happens I usually raise up out of the hole and try again it will usually start drilling it may take a few times.
I just bought a jiffy propane auger. Have less than 50 holes on it and started having problems cutting. I called Jiffy they sent me a whole new bottom half drill and blades. They stated having problem with some blades getting out that had incorrect angles. Some further research with cutting problems I found a lot of recommendations to spray the blades two or three times a season with pledge. Sprayed the new head down last night and will try it out this weekend.
It doesn't take much to get the blades out of the right pitch. If this happens it doesn't matter how sharp they are, you r going to have problems. Always use the cover when traveling and try to avoid bending back and forth if it gets stuck. Never pound with the auger.
Jiffys customer service and support is second to none. Great people that actually care and go on different fishing forums to read about what their customers think of their products. I have the pro lite 4 8 inch and love it. Only complant was the cover that i lost on the second time out cuz someone didnt snap it all the way on. Bought a cheap strike master cover and magnet kit from icehogger.com best $10 you can spend.
