how can I convert this reel?

I won a okuma epixor 30b at a tournament over the weekend. The problem is I am left handed and can't figure out how to convert it. Every spinning reel I've owned before was quick and easy matter of switching the handle. This one only has the gear face on one side. Do I have to take the whole mech apart? Will that even work? Help!

I looked it up and from what I see, if it has a cap on the opposite side of the handle, you remove the cap, and if the handle doesn't pull out, you have to hold the spool from turning and reel the handle backwards. good luck. hop
The handle comes out with no issue. The problem is that there is a gear pattern that the handle matches up with that only appears on the one side. Not sure if I am explaining it well.

Maybe if you hold the rotor and unscrew the handle it will unscrew from the gear and leave it inside the reel. Then just screw it back into the other side.... just a wild guess....

How about some photos. There don't show right/left reels on their website so you should just be able to remove the cap, remove the handle and switch.

I got it! I emailed the shop that donated the reel to the tournament and they told me how! There was a plastic insert that had to come out and be switched to the other side. Pretty easy... once you know it comes out...lol. As always, Erie outfitters rocks! Especially Craig who replied to my email so quickly!
