Fished the middle section with Shaun Frame yesterday afternoon till dark. Surface temps were in the mid-60's just about everywhere. Caught well over 100 fish and kept 45 over 10". No fish-ohios, but several in the 12-12.5" range. We figured these next few days = peak spawn. Shame the weather is going to make things difficult this weeked AS USUAL!!!! :D

Mostly bare jigs and minnows. We ran out of the 5 dozen we had and switched to tubes at the end of the day stuffed with crappie nibbles. With the tubes they were pretty picky on the color chartreuse and white were the ticket, they wouldn't hit anything darker.

I just started catching females shallow in the middle sections late last week. Up until then only males. Eggs in the females weren't oozing so this weekend sounds about right. Wonder what the weather will do to em this weekend.

Ironically I caught many over 10 as well but no fish ohios in 5 trips. A whole mess of 12.5 inchers too. Not complaining just a coincidence.

FWIW - couldn't get them to touch a roadrunner all day. Didn't like the look/blade. We used regular 1/16 and 1/8 jigs all day. We caught a pretty good mix of females with eggs and males as well as a good mix of whites and blacks.
