We fished the city SW of the dump on Friday for just under 3 hours and then again Sunday for the LEWT championship. Both days we had a great bite of hogs going. Seventeen fish total between the two days and 12 of them were over 9#. The rest were all in the 7-8# range with no little fish whatsoever. RR's 2oz 90 and 100 back at 1.6-1.7 was our best lead. Colors have been the key. Just swap out colors until you find one that works and duplicate it across the board. Friday was black headed wonderbread. Sunday was sun spots and possibly cotton candy is the name ? (chartreuse head, orange body, white tail). We definitely had to work for those fish trying to figure out a color that would work each day but we took 3rd place in the tournament with that program so it was well worth it. Others stated 2 mph and 2oz 110-120 back was working for them. 38 feet of water was by far holding the biggest fish and best marks at 30-32 feet down.
