i thought my boat was full of water but the water is down as far as ive seen in the past 4 years in lorain

 

Here is a picture of the west side of the entrance to the Huron Pier. There is usually only around 8-10 ft. of "beach" next to the pier !

The Con Agra facility would be to the right (south) of the stone piles if it was in the picture. I took the pictures from Lakefront Park just west of the Huron River. The freighters were still there this morning. Last night the freighters were all lit up, looked like Cedar Point out there ! I tried to take a pic but I cannot figure out the night picture setting on my digital (I will read the manual) and maybe I can get a pic of that tonight if they are still out there.

That wouls explain why the Huron is so low at Mason Road. I have never seen river bottom there before. We will have to take a ride up to the pier to see the lights tonite.

 

sandusky bay is prolly about empty too.

I will get some more tomorrow if the freighters are still out there. I'm thinking about taking the boat out tomorrow so I will try to get some close ups, not too close though !

Alwsfishin great pictures. I gotta get a camera. I meet up with one of them from time to time going up or down the river. I try to get as far away as I can till they pass but just how far is far enough away?
