I remember watching a presentation by him given at the Cleveland natural history museums trout club about 30 years ago.. is the trout club still a thing?

Yes the trout club is still functioning. I joined just before Covid and it has been a challenge to keep all our programs going. This past year was starting to get back to normal. Its the best money I spend for trout fishing opportunities for sure.

Good to know they're still around. They used to get great speakers. I dunno if they still do. My favorite was jack gartside. The guy was funny. He talked of sleeping on a beach in Mexico and using inner tube from trucks to get out to fish. Unlike someone who will not be named, he was the true fishing bum.
