Second season on a CVA scout, love the gun worked flawless last season and dropped my bucket 75yds. This season, I got it out ahead of the youth weekend and had the Grandson shoot it a few times. The first shot at the target, the primer seemed to fire but not the powder. Then three consecutive well placed shots without a hiccup. First morning, we had a real nice 6pt in at about 40 yds, and sure enough the primer made a pfft….enough to spook the deer but the powder did not burn #@!! Talk about a sad young man....! ( and Grandpa)
After the hunt we fired three primers thru the gun without a load and all shot fire out the barrel...then after the evening hunt I had him discharge it and it fired fine. Does anyone have ideas on why this happened two out of five shots with the gun this season..? The powder and primers are from last year but have been kept in a warm dry garage with my other amo supplies....Also....is there a tiny brush device available that will fit thru the primer flash tube ? Thanks AH2
