I fished 2 days this week in the Cranberry area and had better luck Monday than today. The fish were in the 26 to 32 fow out in front of the Castle on Monday and over by Otto's stack in 20 fow today. I had better luck trolling west and with the strong S.W. Winds today that made it tough to troll out in the deeper water. I caught about all the walleye on RR. Hope this helps.

We've been catching really nice fish at the Huron dumping grounds. Today we had 2 over 30" and lost a bigger one under the boat that stayed straight down. Gold back harnesses have been best for me the last 2 weeks. Today size 2 tadpole 65 back was best by far. Speed 1.5-1.6 mph. Hopefully I'll be back out again in the morning.

Fished this morning with Moke and his son Jack. It was a bit rough this morning but we had our 18 by 10am and lost another 4 or 5 at the boat. Gold back spoon harnesses and antifreeze Colorado harnesses done best. 1 oz 80, 2 oz 60, 3 oz 40, tadpole 2 at 65 back all took fish. Speed started 1.5-1.6 for first pass but ended at 1.8-2.0 on our second pass. Talked to Penalty Box. They started a couple miles NW of us and made one 4 mile pass that netted 24 eyes. Sounds like the bigger fish were closer to cedar point this morning. Good luck to everyone this weekend. Keep going NW from the dump and the numbers of fish get crazy good. Plenty of boats have that spot dialed in now just follow the pack.

Quack, what speed were you running? We were flying past a lot of the boats out there. You may have just been going too slow for what they wanted this morning. It was so non stop with all the walleye and trash fish I couldn't hardly talk on the radio but tried my best to offer our program to others in between line sets a couple times.

Took an afternoon trip with my dad out of huron. I was worried the ramp would be a zoo and maybe no parking but to my surprise there were only about 30 trucks in the lot. Tried finding marks sw of the dump but it was slim pickings stopped 3 more times on a nw heading before I realized my sensitivity was set on 5. Once I bumped it up they were there. Dhj12 140 back took 11/12. Gold/black was best, chrome/blue was also good. We had a nice variety of fish from 15" to 28"s. We lost a NICE fish after we both had a turn with her, she surfaced over 100 ft out then dove back down to 30ft. Lost it at 15 ft, that's the one we will remember most I think.:D It was nice to get out with my dad we had the whole area to ourselves all afternoon. 7 miles nw of huron 1.8-2.2mph. Stopped sw of the dump on the way in when my hat flew off and the marks were absolutely stacked in there.

I took 5 kids to watch fireworks last night out from cedar point and trolled our way there for an hour before dark. Ended up with 10 that were all 16-22 inches. Also ended with 2 hooks in fingers, 4 times rods upside my head, 2 spilled lemonaids, cracker crumbs everywhere, and 5 huge smiles which made all worth it. Reefs 30-80 back and #2 tadpoles 20-60 back. Fish are stacked up through the column. Scary part of the night was coming back after dark and almost seeing someone get ran over who didn't have a rear light.
