I've caught some smaller eyes jigging on the hump this time of year in Fairport, but trolling definitely produces more and bigger eyes...at least for me.

 

Thats what i need to know. Just was wondering. I know in the western basin they jig alot. from the guys i have talked to.

 

We went out with Hynoon cgarter. Wow It was awesome
We had a 5 man ticket.
Biggest one that i had wa about 7 lbs.
All together we had 191 lbs of walleye.
as soon as i figure out how to download pics from my blackbeey .

did you end up out of Fairport? If so what depth did you fish? Im planning on getting out soon and the black hole of fairport fishing reports is where I like to go! LOL

Didnt make it to Fairport. As you look closely at my tshirt,
THATS WHAT HAPPENED! Had to go home.
Wife called a few times. Something about cant live with out me?
Wanted to go fairport , But being well trained, I went home.

But later this month, Ilet you know! Thats for sure!
I think i like the fairport perch a little better.
I like to go out about 5 milesout of the fairport and about 1 mile or 2 to the west for perching.
