It’s a dang shame! Questions around these guys in the brawl now this!! Hope they go down hard! They “won” the last three lewt tournaments. Probably cheated in every tournament

So glad that they nailed these guys today!! So much drama with these 2. Caught em red handed! Whatever the consequences are it’s not enough, been cheating way too long and getting away with it !!

LOL, in 'happier & honest days' (sarcasm):

Runyan estimates the two-angler team will share $306,000 for the unprecedented victories.

“I’m still numb,” said Runyan. “I can’t believe we won the derbies and the LEWT Championship. There are so many great walleye fishermen around here, and to find the success we did is absolutely amazing."

If guilty....Are these scumbags sponsored by Ranger?
Sure appears that way with the Ranger jacket and Runyans name plastered on the back of his like the pros do.
On top of hopefully being arrested and facing felony charges...sure hope Ranger as well as other sponsors/manufacturers that these two scumbags had plastered all over their clothes files law suit on them.
Also...hope ODNR was notified of the situation in case any fishing laws were broken.
Hopefully they did break some fishing laws and ODNR can suspend their license.
Lastly...glad these vids are going viral.
Again...if guilty...These two cheaters names and faces need to be plastered all over the net letting fishing communities everywhere know to watch out for them.

some where when they don't see it coming,,,someone, somewhere will nail these no good dirty low rent people. It just goes to show you how low some people are to take pride in winning only to find out that they pulled a stunt like this. It's nuts. They should do time on fraud charges and never be able to fish in Pa. and Ohio waters again. But it doesn't work that way because what state laws did they really break?

Problem is that without any other proof, they can claim this was a one time thing and they were clean all the other times. Can't strip any of the past trophies away unless some plea deal has them allocute. If I heard it right, they came up to the scales needing 16 pounds. They had 33 with 8 pounds of weights. 25 actual pounds they had would have still won it. They will never fish another tournament

Things change over time - but I remember 'back in the day' when fileting fish, one needed to keep the 'skin on' in order to avoid any possible issues.

Unfortunately, that filet looked better than anything the four "trophy" fish would have provided after they were butchered on the side

(and where's "Chase' (??) - did he already bail knowing they were busted, and head for the hiils !!?)

What tipped the weighers off? i.e. what made them suspect something wasn't right? I couldn't determine it from the video.
They'll have to start running fish through metal detectors in the future - but that won't catch fillet's stuffed in their gut! So likely need to cut open all fish in the future!
Seems that anyone who came in second place to these guys has a valid claim against them! Fairly significant fraud. I was surprised that they got away without any harm!

Unfortunately I didn't fish this event and wasn't there yesterday but second hand info states that the other anglers protested because anyone with common sense could tell just by looking at the fish that their basket-shouldn't have weighed 33 and change
