I've got about 2 hrs. this afternoon where I can get out. Probably Hoover. Crappie should be coming shallow to gorge themselves with this warm weather. May be the last day for awhile.
I went out last night and it seemed that this nice weather has put the fish in a non feeding mood. Let me know if anyone else found out something different. This was at hoover by the way. I was in the south end in a boat.
Did very well on the crappie. Would of limited if I kept all 9's but I kept all over 10 and ended up with 18 though no hawgs. Split between jig and minnow/bob and trolling crappie cranks. 10-15 fow
Caught 2 on the scioto yesterday with many other bites while bass fishing. I could tell they were crappies in which my hook was probably too big for them. All were shallow and one was 12.25".
Got out Thursday. Only had an hour. Threw everything I had. Finally caught a few small ones on a Gamakatzu 1/16 oz jig head in green and orange and a red hook. Put a 1 1/2 " chartruse twistertail. Going to try again Sunday.
caught about twenty deep and close to the bottom in 16-20 ft of water at Alum Creek
