Will fish return to shallow waters after ice forms again due to oxygen levels?

Ok I understand the theroy behind the depleting oxygen supply. But during first ice the fish are found in shallows. where weeds are still live and oxygen levels are high. Well now that we have had this warm up and some of the ice is breaking up around the shore could this once again pull some fish back into the shallow water areas once the ice is formed again. just a thought I could be way off. any opinions?

I don't know cause remember last year when we got that early ice and fished for like 2 weeks or three weeks and then it thawed and refroze and after that I was hardpressed to catch fish consistently. I just caught at first light and right before dark.... I would mark them where I was fishing and I was fishing in weedbeds and lilypads in 8 ft. of water. so yeah they were there but the werent biting well...hopefully this year is different... you would think if it thaws and then refreezes it would be like first ice again.... at least I wish!

Fish dont like mudd or low water. If Skeeter fills back up AGAIN and clears up shallow I might drill shallow. I would think a full pond or small full lake would hold fish shallow all year pending on structure, temp and UV. Fish them first if they clear. ;)

i would guess as long as the weeds are alive they will still attract fish as they can still support the food chain and provide oxygen.

ive noticed that a lot of trampling and noise by ice fishermen drives fish deeper. i dont care to fish near packs because i believe the fish get spooky, in general. but thats just my opinion.
