Which battery booster / power pack?

I am going to take the advice of others on this board and buy a power pack to boost my battery should it die while out on the lake. How do I properly size them to my needs.

I've looked at 400,500,750 and 1200 watt models. Naturally the more watts the greater the size. The larger ones also have additional features such as compressor, light, USB ports etc, which I really don't need. Space is always at a minimum so thensmaller the better, if it,does the job.

How does one properly size these units? I have 1 12v starting battery of course, and a 24 v electric trolling system.

On a separate note, Is it possible to "jump" a starting battery from the 24v system if needed, or would I need to separate the batteries and use only 1 of them 12 V batteries?

Well we carried one for two years, but now use a charger /maintainer at the dock. Batteries stay charged and it also checks and redoes them every time something gets it low. So you know before it goes bad. My main problem was sitting at the dock. When it rained like this it took a lot of bilge pump time. It would run down batteries. No problem now. If its good and full charged at the dock there is no reason to go dead on the water.
