I think I would have gotten out of the water quickly.

 

Muskie eat ducks. Pretty awesome to. Look on youtube.

 

Musky, Pike, Flathead or Blue catfish. Maybe even a large bass. I watched pike decimate a group of ducklings feet from my canoe in Ontario. I wish I would have had video of it.

 

Bass, pike or a Muskie. I've see a few big bass stalk and take down ducklings and birds on the water's edge before. Could even have been a catfish really, I've seen that before as well.

I witnessed a bass take a couple day old baby goose in my pond

 

Geeze not only does this guy get to fish the snot out of alum and other lakes... but has his own pond with bass... seems to me like somebody is spoiled lol...

All of the above + big snappers ( the kind with shells, not fins[emoji2]) will do a ton of damage to small ducks.

 

This would be my guess, a snapper likes to lay in areas like that also

 

I was fishing a golf course pond and saw a bass eat a duckling just as I was about to cast in that spot, missed it the first time but the second time, it never returned to the surface ,would have been a good bass to catch with the rod ,but was full after the duckling

 

Don't fish naked, snapping turtle will make you a "Jenner"

Every snapping turtle that we've put into the purging tank has pooped out feathers. They eat adult ducks.

remember our pond growing up had a bunch of ducklings and mamas get taken down by snappers. we took out the big snappers one summer and then watched ducklings get taken under by...largemouth.

 

I saw a mama duck go from 8 to 6 ducklings in a matter of minutes, thanks to the stealthy skills of a big hawk.

Picked off the duckling bringing up the rear twice ; the others never knew the thefts occurred.

A guy in our bass tournament on the Ohio river this weekend had a baby duck turn up in his livewell. He only had a 2.4# smallmouth in there... you'd be surprised what any fish could eat when it's hungry...

 

I saw a video once where a guy threw a baby chipmunk into a pond to fee his bass. I know, circle of life and all, but a baby chipmunk for goodness sakes?

Chipmunk lasted about 5 seconds.

 

Thought I'd mention alligators in Florida love ducks. First choice for a meal. And ducks are everywhere. Except when you don't see ducks, there's very possibly an alligator somewhere nearby.

 

I watched a Blue Heron stalk a group of baby ducks one day at Lake Logan.

 

Dana.Birrell and I saw a muskie keep circling around a group of duckings as Alum two weeks ago. We were both hoping to see the muskie shoot up and grab a duckling, but no dice. Finally the mama duck got them out of there.

I personally would have been eating turtle and watching a duck fly away

 

I may have killed the turtle too.... But that was a awesome video, and I imagine that ducks days were numbered after having a snapper clamp down on its legs.

 

seen a bull frog eat a wood duck duckling once. never woulda guessed they were capable but they are all mouth though.

 

Was out gigging frogs one night and got a large bullfrog that had a duckling halfway down it's throat. they are all mouth, as slatzing said, and will eat anything they can fit in it.
