A local flow was 42 degrees yesterday, I don't start fishing hard until mid fifties.

The local above ground reservoirs are in the 38 to 42 range and the fishing's great, but the catching sucks. I hope it warms up soon.

I'm sure you can find some great Steelie action right now on a river.

 

Smallmouth seem to be biting in slow moving deep holes if you get real antsy. I don't kayak, but I imagine taking a dump now would ruin your day, if not week.

 

You plan on hitting Kiser anytime soon Galloway? The fish are asleep at CC, I haven't done better than get excited over a snag since November. I'm not even seeing any dead fish!

 

Sigh.... I dont know I feel like I need to give it a week or two of warmer weather. Like you I have started to convince myself that rocks/branches are hits and have been setting the hook on stuff I know arent fish.

I did catch big stick of the day on saturday though!

Well right this second from a bar stool at roosters . On the river slow pig n jig slow road runner type jig with twister tail or a xrap again slow.
