What ever happen to the good old west winds???(as my Dad would say, wind out the west, fish bite the best ;) ). This north, northeast winds are about to beat me to death in my little 1650 lund. I have done real good fishing this month at Lorain, but ride'm cowboy in my boat:D. Is it just me, or has everyone else notice there has been hardly any west winds this month.

I hear ya dawg, i think my last 5 trips to erie have been with those north /northeast winds, very strange for this time of year, hopefully this weekend will be some light west or south west wind, the only good thing is we were still able to pull some fish in those winds , but it rough.

Yea, We even saw east winds around Kelleys island last week. My 18.5 Tracker did OK, but we were a swaying abit at the restraunts in the evening! It seems to scatter the fish a bit also. Sometimes we felt just like a cork out there! Be safe.

Your right!
It's been like that all year.I fish all over the state and the wind has been wrong 99% of the time.I truly beleive I've seen more NE,N,and NW wind this year than I ever have.
So at least I have something to blame my low catch rate on this year.:D
