Fished a local lake with polebender today. I even showed him my top secret bait. We got a double limit of keepers and caught well over 150. Large fish was 15 1/2 inches and weighted 1.75 lb. They were shallow near wood.

We started at Indian and just could not get anything going so we left and went to Delaware around 1pm. Ended up with some STUDS!

I don't mind disclosing the super secret central Ohio lakes we fished since this is designed to be helpful to other fisherman and not just a brag board.

Water temp was 62.5-63.5 degrees and we pitched 1/32 & 1/16 oz jigs with 1" & 2" tails. No certain color was better than another. I hate using a float so we didn't but probably should have more. The bigger fish were not relating to cover tight, however back off bank was the ticket with a SLOW reel and even an occasional pause. Should be really good at Delaware by Sunday.

Congrats on your haul guys!

Just for the record most of my post are very detailed on how and where I've been fishing. I was going back again today so I didn't want to post where I was at just to have to compete with another 30 to 40 boats because I posted what lake I was at. Anyways most people that know me knows where I was at anyways. I would tell you that today was a little slower because the lake temp dropped 11 degrees over night. But we were still able to catch a bunch of fish with 38 keeper. But I'm not going to say anything or post a picture because I don't want to come across as bragging.

Thanks for the great info everybody. Itching to go. Gotta work tomorrow but me and my 1956 Starcraft are hitting the lake on Monday. Still trying to decide between Hoover, Alum, or Delaware. Best bet for big crappie and lots of them? I'll let you know...

Don't think it's bragging when you or anyone has a good day out fishing. Your the one who put the time and effort in to catch them. I do enjoy your posts threw out the year. Just keep whacking and stacking.:D
