As some are aware this is my first year chasing the walleye seriously other than the early Jig Bite, always a Bass guy prior.. Sold the 618 Ranger in the SPring and picked up a 99 Sportcraft 251 WA.. Also seems like I am constantly stopping at the Fin, Rod Makers or Hi Way Bait and Tackle and spending $75-150 each week.. lol
I tried to get a variety of different things I hear and read about to have and try but now I need to figure out which to use when.. I have Tadpoles (4 each) #1-#3, In-line Weights from 1-3oz and 4 Tru Tip 40's.. I have a couple dozen of the smaller scorpion spoons, dozen or so harnesses and another dozen or so blades to swap if need be.. Not to mention the 30+ RR 800 and DHJ I was using early in the year.. Oh and I have them big Wire bottom bouncer deals from 3/4-4oz also..
So you can see I have tackle but just need to figure out what is what at the correct time I guess. I am only running 4 Rods currently on Off Shore In-Lines that have tattle flags (DIY from OGF Forum Thread Instructions) and the black snap clip up grades (Freaking Snaps Are Stupid $$). Been running the Spoons mainly last 4 trips to avoid all the dirt and mess of the worms.. However I did make my buddy buy couple dozen Saturday and ran 1 rod on a TT40 with Purple Blade Harness between 30-40' and pulled 2 with it..
I am just trying to get better idea is all..
