I have a love hate relationship with mosquito. Every year i hear the grand stories, walleye 30 at a time, crappie by the cooler full, slabs the size of a football. Yeah yeah. Ive had my good times, but Im yet to catch a walleye I can hang my hat on. I swear those poor fellas are starving. Now im young, inexperience and I know they are in there. I just dont know how to bring em in with numbers. Cmon my dad is ripping on me so hard latly for coming home with empty coolers. Im not a fan of pan fish or cats. I hooked into something on the north end when the snow was flying in late march, lets just say i learned to change my line at least every season. Im rambling.....

Im looking for some walleye tips, up to date,

Ive had luck this year on the SW side in stump alley across from the state launch at 88, Ive had luck in the channel by the causeway, Ive had luck by the cemetary Ive had luck down by the damn, its the north side and the shallows, which I havent dared to fished....maybe due to hitting a sand bar when i thought i was in 15 feet of water, and messing up my 10 hp johnson for the day.

Are they in the north still and are they shallow? 2-6 feet ive heard, Im looking at floating jig, a rod with a slip bobber tipped in minnow, and one rod set for crankbaits, Hows that sound

Please you guys posting your 30 walleye days, and your pics of crappie spilling out of a 20 gallon cooler, all i need is a hint, I promise i wont catch em all!!

Thanks and good luck out there gentlemen :D

They can be shallow or deep at certain times of the year. Trolling is hot at times and jigging can be great other times. Once in a while they both will work equally well during the same day. Just have to keep putting your time on the water and you will start seeing patterns. Good luck!:)

I don't do to much walleye fishing on boat so i can't help you there but for crappie i love crappie fishing try fishing the willows in pikies bay or fallen timber stuff like that and I have always used 2 poles one with a slip bobber and minnow and one with a twister tail or microspoon tippied with minnow and i have always been successful. good luck and try these patterns and you should start seeing alot more fish.

I have hit mosquito three days in a row, ending today, and it was deffinatly the best three day stretch or and three days Ive ever had on squito, Overall I prolly caught 50 fish + Yet the walleye baffle me, I managed 5, but nothing over 15', and im not a fish stretcher. The crappie bite is very nice but i want some real fish. Perch speckled in here and there. Overall I had alot of fun!
