I fish buckeye at least 6 days a week and I’ve been doing good with Saugeyes using vibes and spoons casting out and reeling in slowly.

Rooster Ive been getting a nice mess of crappies at C.C. With several Saugeye mixed in I’m finding them in 15 to 18!

 

I have been getting them between 3 foot and 20 foot deep water now you owe me two beers

It's been a few years since I've targeted saugeyes at Cowan but if I were going to do it. I'd probably opt for either a jigging spoon OR a jig head tipped with 1/2 of a crawler. Points and sides of points would be my 1st choice fishing 5-15 foot deep. (using jigs) 2nd choice would be flats especially near break-lines (drop-offs) (using jigging spoons)
If I had to pick a 3rd lure it would be a shad rap, eyes love them.
