Took advantage of the weather and headed out to wade the Scioto yesterday for a few hours. Figured it might be the last time I get out this year. Only smallie I got was in about 2 feet of water right in the middle of the current. I thought I might have some luck since I landed this one in the first 15 minutes. Unfortunately not even another bite. Pretty disappointing summer and fall. I don't think I had a trip this year where I caught more than 6 smallies. At least I got to see a 6-point buck come down to the water to check me out followed by a coyote walking the tree line.

One is better than skunk. I've been waiting on some river reports. I am stuck at home with the pig flu.
