Haven't done much hunting since we're working on building our place most of the time. Sat out all day this past Saturday (11/12) and saw just 3 small bucks, one was scent checking a doe but not even bumping her, just trying to smell her from like 30 yards behind, then turned and walked away. Had a group of 5 doe/yearling go by and never had anything come through checking them. Hunting partner and father each saw a little action but no real chasing, just some deer slowly cruising around. Co-workers reported similar things last week/weekend. Haven't heard of a lot down our way but it's got to be happening. Maybe this cold snap will bring more action this weekend?
